Performance:

Excellent Subaru all-weather performance/confidence

AWD is standard on all Crosstrek models so they’re all very capable in challenging terrain and weather conditions.

Good size for tight trails

The 2024 Crosstrek Sport has the same engine as the Wilderness but is more highway oriented.

Interior space and comfort is excellent in all Crosstrek models.

The redesigned 2024 Subaru Crosstrek comes in several trim levels with the new Crosstrek Wilderness being the top model. We tested both the Wilderness and the less aggressive Crosstrek Sport which is still a very agile and sure-footed off-road adventure vehicle. Both models have the 182-horsepower engine. The Wilderness has upgraded suspension, more ground clearance, additional off-road drive modes, a front skid plate, all-terrain tires, water-resistant upholstery, and higher approach, breakover, and departure angles. The Wilderness also has more aggressive visual cues. We liked both models and the choice

Back seat room and comfort are very good but the center position is tight for adults.
